Frequently Asked Questions

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is an immersive experience where participants are “bathed” in sound waves produced by various instruments, such as Crystal Singing Bowls, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Gongs, Flutes, Rain Sticks, Drums and Chimes.

What can I expect during a sound bath session?

During a sound bath, you will typically lie down comfortably on a mat or recline in a chair. You will be guided to relax, and then the practitioner will play various instruments, creating sound waves that fill the space. The vibrations are designed to resonate with your body and mind, helping you enter a deeply relaxed, meditative state.

Do I need prior meditation experience?

No prior experience is needed! Sound baths are accessible to everyone, whether you’re new to meditation or a seasoned practitioner. The sounds naturally guide you into a relaxed state, making it easier to meditate.

What should I bring to a sound bath?

We recommend bringing a yoga mat, blanket, and pillow for comfort. Some people also like to bring an eye mask, water bottle, or journal for reflection afterwards.

What are the benefits of a sound bath?

Sound baths offer a range of holistic benefits for the mind, body and spirit. Studies suggest that the calming effects of sound baths can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, reduce stress, decrease anxiety, improve sleep quality, enhance mental focus and clarity, release suppressed emotions and are believed to align the body’s energy centers (chakras), promoting a sense of harmony and balance. While experiences may vary, many participants leave a sound bath feeling rejuvenated, balanced, and at peace.

Can anyone participate in a sound bath?

Sound baths are generally safe for most people, but if you have a medical condition (e.g., sound sensitivity, epilepsy, or are in the first trimester of pregnancy) please consult your healthcare provider before attending a sound bath.

What should I do after a sound bath?

Take time to gently reawaken and hydrate after the session. You may feel deeply relaxed or energized, so listen to your body’s needs. Journaling or resting can help integrate the experience.
